What’s with the website name?
Well, let’s go through the meaning. Looking at the second word first, Bazaar : defined as “a marketplace or shopping quarter …in which many kinds of goods are offered for sale”. Our products are wide and varied – from blogging and photography to gadgets and Apiculture (Beekeeping 🙂 ) .
And then of course, Lightning : because payments can be made in Satoshis (“sats” for short)- tiny fractions of a Bitcoin – through the Lightning Network (think of it as your credit card “tap and go experience”, but with your phone). It’s actually quite easy, see how.
So why payments in Satoshis?
As Bitcoin enthusiasts, we’ve built our own Lightning payment system, and this site gives people a simple way to put it into practice. It also encourages people to learn about and use Bitcoin while receiving a discount.
